BULVAR216

Bulvar 216 Shopping, Business and Life Center, whose architectural project was designed by Tago Architects and marketed with the motto of "Place of Loving Life", was put into service in 2014. The mixed-function project, based on energy conservation, is one of the important LEED-certified buildings in Istanbul. The project was deemed worthy of 5 awards within the scope of the European Real Estate Awards in 2013, and received the award in the 'Best Office' category at the 2014 Sign of the City Awards. Bulvar 216, located in Ataşehir, the high-value district of the Anatolian Side that develops with new projects, is a living center consisting of 4 commercial and 4 office floors with shops, cafes, cinema and entertainment areas. In the project, which was designed with the aim of meeting the social needs of the Anatolian Side, it was desired to provide a comfortable user experience with practical solutions and the project was created to keep up with the dynamics of daily life.

Bulvar 216 has an unusual architecture, like a representation of nature in the middle of the city. In the design process, nature was inspired and the unique formation created by the sands, travertines and desert winds was reflected in the architectural project. It is aimed that the building is in a plain and plain language, but attracting attention. In the lighting design, this form and formation has been tried to be emphasized. While the slopes formed as a result of the differentiation of the land elevations allow access from every level and the pedestrian circulation to continue without interruption, the building has been designed in a way that will not allow any commercial area to become stagnant and that all units benefit from the pedestrian movement. The relationship established between the mass and the land was also maintained between the park and open terraces next to the land. These open terraces were retracted from floor to floor and transformed into more spacious, comfortable areas with direct sunlight, thus redefining the interior-exterior relationship in the building.

In the lighting design process, it was aimed to illuminate the mass in a way that would reveal the organic and fluid form of the project. During the projecting phase, various details were tried to be created on the precast surfaces by working with the facade firm and the architectural office, but the precast surfaces could not be illuminated with the hidden light detail because the fragile structure of the material was not suitable for creating details. In order to reveal the mass form, a channel parallel to the end of the eaves was created and linear flexible led products were used in this channel. The light that continues uninterruptedly in the channel has revealed the mass form. General lighting was provided on the terraces by using LED light source fixtures, and the lighting of sitting groups was supported with portable fixtures.

All luminaires used in landscape lighting, except tree and plant lighting, have been chosen in such a way that they will not let light into the upper half space. The use of luminaires with asymmetrical lenses has been preferred to prevent light escaping beyond the land boundary. All of the luminaires used in the lighting of facades, landscapes and general areas are LED light sourced. Energy efficiency has been increased with the use of automation system. The project, which has been shaped with details for natural ventilation and more use of daylight, has LEED certificate. The building is designed to be sustainable, with facilities for cyclists and practices such as waste water management.

Bulvar 216, a shopping, business and living center with its design created for the quick and practical solution of daily needs, awaits its visitors with its wide and dynamic living spots in city life.
