The poets in the Şairler Sofası Park in Akaretler are getting the light. Four lighting designers illuminate poetry sculptures in the park.

ALD Istanbul (Architectural Lighting Day Istanbul), as held at Harbiye Military Museum by the PLD Türkiye (Professional Lighting Design Turkey) magazine for the first time on 25 October 2010 and it brought together architects and lighting designers who attracted attention in the international arena with successful works on the light in Istanbul.

The Şairler Sofası Park in Akaretler, where the sculptures of Melih Cevdet Anday, Sabahattin Kudret Aksal, Behçet Necatigil, Orhan Veli Kanık, Oktay Rifat, Özdemir Asaf, Poet Nigar, Neyzen Tevfik, Cahit Sıtkı Tarancı and Necati Cumalı, came to life with light with the event that were held on October 15-26.

The park, which was dark at night even though it is located in the center of the city, was illuminated by independent lighting design offices, including NA LightStyle, within the framework of the ALD Istanbul event.
