The architectural project designed by Chapman Taylor Spain's architects Chris Lanksbury, Jan Dijkema, Javier Vieiro, the construction project was created by the team of Piramit Architecture under the leadership of Master Architect Turgut Toydemir. The interior design and application project was carried out by the Metex Design team under the guidance of Sinan Kafadar. Mixed-function structure 42 Maslak was fully opened in 2013 with office concept & in 2017 with all units.
42 Maslak located in the Maslak zone, known as the Central Business District of Istanbul, with pedestrian traffic, plazas, and business centers around it. The aim of the project from the beginning of the project to the completion of the building was to create a human-centered life center that incorporates comfort, art, and entertainment within this busy business life. The multifunctional structure designed with this line of vision located in a large area. 42 Maslak has two 42-storey towers with penthouses, residences, and offices consist of a horizontal office block and leasable commercial spaces.
The 42 Maslak was designed and built following the 'Green Building' design criteria. It has received LEED Platinum for horizontal office blocks with its high performances in terms of low energy consumption, sound and heat insulation material and indoor quality, it has also received LEED Gold certification for A tower residences. In the lighting design process, aiming to optimize energy consumption with automation and control systems. Scenarios have been created in each part of the building, taking into account the hours of intense and inadequate use.
It targeted to make the building visible in the city silhouette while energy consumption is as low as possible in the facade lighting design. Armatures of suitable type and power have selected. In the interior lighting design, work conducted in parallel with the architectural team. Lighting solutions fit for function and use have developed overlap with materials, colors, textures, and other features. In outdoor lighting, it aimed to create pleasant spaces with light in addition to providing the conditions required by the function in the circulation, sitting, and resting areas.
42 Maslak created to maximize the use of sloping areas in the center of the Maslak region and create added value for the residents, office workers, and visitors by creating a new common street in the region. 42 Maslak awaits visitors to the new favorite mixed living center with its new perspective to Istanbul.
