LIGHT GREAT GUIDE
We know that the most important factor in every design is humans. The environment we live in, every object we use, and everything we hold with our hands and see with our eyes are for human beings. How do we direct and decide what we hold with our hands and see with our eyes? How can we be able to make decisions in a dark world? just intuitive, tactile. Unquestionably, Light is a great guide!
So, in whose hands is such an important element that guides our lives entrusted?
Architect, Interior Architect, Electrical Engineer?
While the rapid development of technology in the last 15 years has diversified how light and architecture are used, it has become difficult to follow the developing products and approaches. As a result, “lighting” has become a subject that needs to be known in its own right. Architectural Lighting Designers are the people who will follow this rapid change and produce creative designs that will incorporate technical and aesthetic values by adapting them to the buildings in the most appropriate way.
Lighting Design is a very new field of expertise in the world, it has a history of about twenty-thirty years. Despite having such a short past, it is impossible for me to answer the question of who he is and what he does in one sentence. But to put it briefly: The Lighting Designer is the person who designs, directs, and advises the customer by developing the concept of the products and techniques necessary to illuminate an architectural space conveniently and sensitively, without any product sales concerns. Its sole purpose is to design the right light in the right place. These people take part in the creative team, just like an architect, and provide consultancy services on the project. A lighting designer, who will be included from the first stages of the project, produces correct and on-site solutions for the architect and electrical engineer, and even the mechanic's group, with whom he is in constant contact while saving time with a business partnership, allowing the investor to profit in the early stages.
I believe that the contribution and guidance of light to architectural design can reach its true value with the right designs. For this, I repeat, “Light Must Be Designed”.
