CROWNE PLAZA FLORYA

Crowne Plaza Florya, the first and only 5-star hotel of Florya with quality service, high comfort, and privileged accommodation concept, was opened in 2016.

Almost all of the 305 guest rooms have sea views in 4 separate blocks. Located next to the Aquarium, the hotel has an architecture that extends horizontally, not vertically, due to its seafront location and very close to the landing line of planes. The critical position of the hotel has also been a criterion that affects facade and landscape lighting, and design has requested that not compromise flight safety.  For this reason, care taken to create lighting that would not cause light clutter for the aircraft.

The angular and horizontal form of the building emphasized with the framing effect and linear lines created on the facade, and it aimed to reveal at night. By designing detail for the facade, lighting sources and cables concealed, and the lightings kept in harmony with the facade. In the entrance eaves, spots used in the nonhomogeneous settlement that would make the hotel entrance shine in addition to the lighting following the architectural line.

The architectural lines in the building were continued in the landscape by the landscape architect, aiming to integrate the facade and landscape. Landscape lighting designed with the same principle and aimed at landscape lighting would act as a continuation of the facade lighting as a whole. The terraces in landscape emphasized with details created for the lighting, and the stages also have seen at night.

An interior lighting design that suitable for architectural design has applied. The comfort of the guests prioritized in the rooms, and it designed with the flexibility that the guests could create their constructions. In places with daylight, such as the lobby, lounge, and restaurant, the lighting was designed to be compatible with daylight and scenarios were developed for certain hours of the day. Linear lighting on the ceiling in the meeting rooms was enclosed in a channel, thereby hiding the lighting and increasing visual comfort.
