CRATOS PREMIUM HOTEL

The magnificence, comfort, and limitless entertainment options of the most important tourism centers of the world like Las Vegas, Bali, Ibiza, and Paris come together in Kyrenia, the heart of the Mediterranean.

The Cratos Premium Hotel, named after the god of power Cratos and established in 2010 by Boz Group, is located on a sloping area of 200.000m2 in Girne, the pearl of Cyprus. The facility, built with 410 rooms in a private bay, has a seafront planning with levels on sloping land. There are many places for accommodation and entertainment within the facility. Port Cratos, designed with a hotel, casino, SPA, and architecture inspired by the past and provides the atmosphere of Mediterranean-Aegean village, is a first in Northern Cyprus with concept and functioning.

Light is an indispensable element to continuation the desired atmosphere in the evening as well as during the day. Undoubtedly, professional assistance was needed to design the light with scenarios that vary according to the usage conditions of the spaces and the activities. While working on different scenarios, it was also a priority criterion to save significant savings on the general consumption of the complex with minimum energy consumption.

In the project, the architectural lighting design created by Nergiz Arifoğlu Lightstyle, purposeful night scenarios developed with the enterprise. The light concept based on a magical, extraordinary, luxurious image and visual feast, and aimed at guests who come for entertainment purposes at night. The entrance of the facility, is the entry point to entertainment, was determined as the first approach point in complex outdoor lighting.

A specially prepared light show welcomes the guests on the hotel facade, following the palm road illuminated with dramatic effects from the door entrance.

The hotel facade used as a showcase for the first image within the framework of the targeted customer base and services provided. In scenarios prepared according to the hotel architecture and concept, different scenes in time zones reflected on the facade as a film. The unique visual feast that welcomes the guests is perceived even from long distances from the hotel, giving hints of the entertainment inside and inviting new guests. Special projection devices used to move the balconies on the facades one by one, the stars poured over the terrace, the chips were poured and flowed in front of the hotel, etc. and similar scenarios could act as films on the facades. The specially designed images according to the architecture of the facades by professional teams turned into films and reflected on the facades. It creates a long-term view environment for the guests, who greeted with facades that turn into a stunning light show in three-dimensional huge images in the dark.

In front of the hotel entrance with a long vaulted roof, guests welcome the colorful illuminated Cratos statue, and an entrance to a colorful world is provided.

The amber color used in the general interior concept of the hotel is also located on the outer lines of the hotel.

The back facades of the hotel, where family blocks located, have an architectural form embracing the sea. In the lighting design, amber-colored linear LEDs that both support this image and connect with the hotel building connect the facades. The palm trees around the pool & the vines surrounding the facades provide a pleasant perspective for both those looking from above and those coming from below. A different video mapping projected on the front of the large hotel back block offers different views to those on the poolside, especially during concert times. While the pool finish turns into a waterfall with a circular form, the flowing waters change color and are ready for fun.

The descent to the port, which is the open-air venue of entertainment, is provided by a circular staircase. There are bars and night clubs on the left and right of the stairs. In these parts, which display a magical view from the sea level, the opportunity to make different scenarios at different times with the LEDs has introduced.

There is a moving scene in the sea of the port where world-famous artists give concerts on the special days and nights. During the concerts, watched easily from all venues, a different light scenario comes into play and directs attention to the show on the stage.
