42 Maslak is located in the Maslak district of Istanbul, known as the Central Business District of Istanbul, which has heavy pedestrian traffic with its surrounding plazas and business centers. The aim from the beginning of the project phase to the completion of the building was to create a people-oriented living center that embodies comfort, art, and entertainment in this busy business life. The multifunctional building, designed with this perspective, is located in a very large area. 42 Maslak penthouse consists of two 42-story towers with residences and offices, a horizontal office block, and leasable commercial areas.
42 Maslak was designed and built by the 'Green Building' design criteria. With its high performance in criteria such as low energy consumption, sound and heat insulation, material, and indoor quality, it is one of the important structures of Turkey, which received LEED Platinum with its horizontal office block and LEED Gold certificate with its A tower Residences. The lighting design process, it is aimed to optimize energy consumption with automation and control systems. Scenarios were created by taking into account the hours when the usage was intense and low in each part of the building.
In the façade lighting design, the building is visible in the city silhouette, while energy consumption is aimed to be as low as possible. The appropriate type and power fixtures have been selected. In the interior lighting design, a parallel study was carried out with the architectural team. Lighting solutions suitable for function and use have been developed, which overlap with materials, colors, textures, and other architectural features. Outdoor lighting, besides providing the conditions required by the function in circulation, sitting, and resting areas is aimed to create pleasant spaces with light.
42 Maslak, which was created to maximize the use of the sloping area in the very center of the Maslak region and create added value for the residents, office workers, and visitors by creating a new common street in the region, awaits its visitors in the new popular mixed life center with a new perspective it offers to Istanbul.
