Ümraniye is preparing to be the new hub for financial markets. Albaraka has its own building in the area where many other banks are also located. Albaraka building which was constructed by Akkom İnşaat and which differentiates from others thanks to its diverse architecture was designed by Tago MimarlIk. The project whose lighting system was executed by Nergiz Arifoglu Lightstyle has a landscaping area of 7000 m2 with the height of 80 meters and with a form that provides different perceptions according to the direction of view.

The lighting design which lasted some 12 months within project preparation, tender and consultancy process was executed under the coordination of project management company in cooperation with employer, architectural team, contractor and electrical-mechanical groups. For the building which explains itself with its form and standing in the day, a design was developed to emphasize corporate identity in the night. As regards the lighting concept design; strong white light which is its starting point that represents continuous rise and confidence was designed by being concealed in special details in the architecture which faces the both roads. Prior to the application, light effect was tested by demos and the lines were finalized.

In the entrance façade, the big logo was underlined strongly and in other façade, a decisive effect was created to represent the confidence and rise in its own line. Cold Cathode lighting technology was used for all those effects that can be seen even from a very long distance. For the system preferred with its durable and uninterrupted bright light, approximately 250 m 6500K modular tubes were produced and integrated into special details. As for landscaping lighting, pedestrian road and vehicle entry-exit roads were featured by illuminating them differently. While walking on pedestrian road, amber color within the logo identifies the road and leads people to the entrance.

The vicinity of the building was illuminated by indirect light that has a plain line like the architectural form according to security, aesthetics and economic factors. Interior lighting of the structures which fully comprise glass façade is very important. Therefore, special lighting calculations were made for energy saving indoors and efficient use of daylight. 4x14W lighting fixtures with special reflectors that provide suitable conditions in terms of visual comfort were used by taking the people that will work in office environment into consideration. Designs were developed for multi-purpose use in meeting and manager rooms.

While concealed linear fluorescent lights provide general lighting within architectural configuration in conference room where crowded meetings and lectures are held, the LEDS which are concealed behind perforated wall and ceiling are used for presentation moments. Lighting design was planned after certain saving measures were taken in the building which houses exhibition hall, train-ing rooms and dining areas in addition to this conference room.
